GDOL Reports $105 Million in Unremitted Funds: Press Conference on Thursday

Somebody's been sitting on a boatload of cash that apparently belongs to the people who didn't get it, including unremitted Unemployment Insurance checks that should have been paid out ever since fiscal year 2014.

The Georgia Department of Labor has transferred $105,170,128.20 to the account of the Georgia Department of Treasury.

Georgia Commissioner Bruce Thompson said the fraud investigation is ongoing.

A press conference will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 9:00 am on the front steps of the Georgia State Capitol Building in Atlanta.
