Former Columbus Mayor Pro Tem Evelyn Turner Pugh dies

Mayor Skip Henderson had retired Mayor Pro Tem Evelyn Turner-Pugh in October 2019 after more than 30 years of local public service.

She served as City Councilor in District 4 as well as Mayor Pro Tem, and Mayor Henderson referred to her as a 'true friend to Columbus and an asset to the community'.

On today, July 11, it was announced that Ms Turner-Pugh passed away due to complications from Parkinson's disease. Funeral arrangements to be announced.
