Word is already out that Senate Bill 64 is still in the Hopper in the State of Georgia, and contained within that Bill is a law pushing for criminal charges for, among other things, marijuana possession.
The Bill wants stiffer bails for people found in possession of it.
Last we checked, Georgia was one of only SEVEN states in the U.S. to make marijuana possession entirely illegal, with the exception being the marketing and distribution of CBD oils. The others are Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
These are the states where marijuana, medicinally and recreationally, has been completely and fully decriminalized:
There are only four states left in the continental U.S. where marijuana is fully and completely illegal period: Idaho, Wyoming, Kansas and South Carolina. Not for medicinal, recreational use, and not even CBD oils and other derivatives of the hemp plant. No green eggs, no green ham, Sam I Am.
All other states are a mixed bag, including "for medicinal use only" and two states where it's illegal, but decriminalized - meaning not much is going to happen if you are caught with it, but it's still against the law: Nebraska and North Carolina.
