Op-Ed: Tim Walz Comes to Columbus

Image

Democratic Vice Presidential candidate and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz made yet another campaign stop in Columbus, Georgia, just as the November 5 presidential election for years 2024-2028 heats up and comes close to D-Day in one week.

The campaign opened with the staffing of volunteers in different locations throughout the venue at the Convention & Trade Center on Front Avenue, then continued with a live musical treat of different "old school jams" - music of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and some clean "rap" music beats from the early 2000s.

All considered, it was apparent that the office of Vance knew its crowd and its demographics enough to know what music to play...as the average person in the audience looked to be early 40s to over 80 years of age, meaning they came up in a generation that had a love of good music over screaming their heads off about nothing important.

This wasn't a very young crowd at all, but not very old either. All told, it was a crowd that is equivalent to the age group and demographic that is going to end up determining who wins this election in seven days.

While Walz spoke onstage of former president Donald J. Trump's demand for unchecked unlimited surrealistic power in a form that he can control the nation and not lead, resonating with the audience who opposes Trump because of his own words and his actions, Trump's supporters stood outside protesting against Walz based on everything on social media and certain television entertainment news networks.

However, their reasons for supporting Trump and protesting Walz don't appear to be based in the real world.

One Trump supporter stated to WRBL the kind of sentiments that we only hear about on social media and FOX entertainment television news ... that she "feared for the country," "wanted to be able to buy stuff," and she voiced her opinion about how "wonderful" the economy was under Trump. They also railed against "Democrats," but failed to be able to name a Democrat or define what it is the Democrats have done that have Trump supporters politically and emotionally aroused. Likely because the only real Democrats they know about are "made for TV" invisible enemies.

How would I know? One of them stated that "Democrats are not Christians," blanketly and generically made that statement for the world around us to hear.

I'm not a Democrat, but I do support them at this time. I have found a vast majority of them to be Christians, and most of the ones who won't claim that name have a profound belief in God.

I should know. I'm a bona fide God-fearing Woman of Faith and Order who, if you asked anyone who knows me, knows that I have lived my life for God since I was a mere five year old child, giving my life over to Him at the age of 19. I have since read the Bible cover to cover and am in the process of reading it again, King James and Douay-Rheims 1899 versions only. I have other versions, I have read other versions, but these are the two that come the closest to Hebrew and Greek and Latin, the foreign languages of my ancestors as it was translated into English, both British and American.

I am an ordained and licensed minister of the Gospel, have preached and spent my entire life around believers and ministers and preachers and teachers of the Gospel for more than 50 years...almost none of whom believe in the goddish person that they call Donald Trump.

Conveniently Forgotten: The Harsh Truth About Trump's Economy

The "Trump Economy Thumpers" fail to mention that the first two years Trump sat in the Oval Office in Hillary Clinton's won seat, he was riding on the Obama economy.

Notably, every President rides on the former President's policies for the first two to three years until their own economic policies begin to grab hold. Even Biden had to live with Trump's economy for his first two years in office until he could flush it out of our systems and get us back on track.

[Biden didn't have to do what he did, especially considering how egregiously bad he has been treated by Democrats themselves. He could have left us all hanging and lived retired, comfortably and uncaringly in Wherever, USA and never said another word to us. Then the Democrats turned on him again when he was done and called him "old" after the incredible work he did of ditching Trump's "death to Americans" RICH PEOPLE ONLY economy.]

By the time Trump's economy started taking a grip on the nation in 2019, we were being eaten alive and running in fear from a crippling nationwide viral disease known as COVID-19, whcih ended with a toll of more than 1.5 Million Americans dead of the killer virus, and still counting. Just because people have stopped talking about it doesn't mean it has gone completely away.

On Trump's watch, jobs were lost, venues were shuttered, people lost their homes, their money, AND their lives and their relatives and everything they had ever worked for...plus it opened the door to government thievery like nobody's business through PPP Loans. It wasn't "fake news", we lived through it. I witnessed it.

The nation had just overcome Congressional deadlock over a shutdown that ended in Trump throwing in the white flag of surrender in a failed coup to obtain more money to throw behind alleged U.S. border issues that did not exist at the time, and still don't.

Then by the time Trump was finally fired by 81 million Americans (about four million more than he was fired by in 2015 when he lost the election the first time, but sabotaged the electoral college to sashay his way where he didn't belong), the economy was in a worse shambles than the one George W. Bush left for President Obama to clean up in 2008, even though the GOP opposed him doing anything to help those of us who were not so rich.

It was Trump's economy that caused us to go nearly three years of living with refrigerated trucks being used to hold dead bodies and living amongst fear of an uncontrollable virus with it taking several weeks to hold funerals or cremate the dead because the bodies were piling up like it would never end. Trump had us masked up and then told us it was all a "hoax," but the alleged hoax began with his own actions.

And the so-called "checks" that Trump gave us?

That was not his money, it was OUR money that he wanted to sign his name to as if it came from his own personal bank account.

None of this ended until Captain/President Joe Biden and Co-Captain Vice President Kamala Harris commandeered the government ship and steered it back to safe and familiar waters.

But they forgot about the "checks" President Biden gave us and did NOT sign his name to them because he didn't need to sit in the Captain Ego booster chair.

Another Trump supporter who was interviewed by WRBL news stated that she believed in God, mentioned the whole "Christianity conversation" that doesn't seem to apply to actual scripture, and also stated that she was anti-abortion, and yet she displayed that she is not yet educated or aware that the real scriptures show that God obviously does not agree with her.

God is both Pro-Life and Pro-Choice, if you can make any of those modern terms stick to the Word.

But the woman they interviewed made no statements to WRBL referencing which scriptures in the Bible are in line with anything she stated that she believed in. It was empty talk based on nothing she could back up or prove.

Southern Politics: Christianity and the Alt-Right Trump Movement

The Trump Christian Alt-Right claim to be complete conservatives who are anti-Democratic, and they take issue with people they call "Marxists," "socialists," and "liberals," but they don't define exactly what that is or what it means, nor can they show us the locations of these people or identify them locally.

Sometimes, they have us thinking these are just substitute words for the racial epithets of the old plantation-ridden Confederate antebellum south. Such claims make for the sightings of invisible space aliens or the non-existent netherworld that can't be seen or shown because it either doesn't exist, and they can't prove that either.

What they don't know about the millions of Democrats that they vehemently oppose with "alien rhetoric" is that a vast majority of them are Christians, or at least believers in Christ, who tend to show their faith by their actions over their words.

There are atheists everywhere, of course, even Republican atheists -- but for the most part, you find no "anti-Christian" policies among Democrats that aren't also found among Republicans cycling themselves in the other direction.

The Democratic Party has not paraded around the "name  of Jesus" because it's not a bumper sticker ad or an occasion to open the floodgates to pastoral moneychangers invading the temples.

Most of them can roll off more scriptures in less than 10 minutes than Trump can repeat in eight years.

We're coming up on that time and have not YET heard Trump mention what are his favorite scriptures, let alone what his "Christian evangelical" theological beliefs really are.

Most Christian Democrats have defined Trump as a blasphemer and the scriptural "Man of Lawlessness" spoken of in II Thessalonians 2, who "brings with him the spirit of anti-Christ."

He fits the profile, that much is certain.

Deadline: The Universal Battle Between Good and Evil

What this election seems to boil down to is not just his'n'hers policies or politics.

Policies seem to be a mere sounding board for the appearance of intelligence in order to cover for the diverse festering schematic of psychotic religious embattlement.

Christians are under attack.

I'm what most people might call a Christian. I'm not under attack, and neither is what I believe in. I face challenges, but I can meet (or beat) most of them easily because I have studied to show myself approved.

To have heard Trump supporters outside the Columbus Convention and Trade Center protesting Governor Walz is to have heard absolutely nothing that takes away or detracts from the Harris-Walz campaign ticket of 2024, even in the Christian universe, or its alternative metaverse.

The Racism and Anti-Woman Tropes Associated with Pro-Lifers

Democrats believe in pro-life, but also in pro-choice that is inclusive of the consideration of the life of a mother whose own life is put on the line as she is forced to carry a non-viable fetus that will not live regardless. In most of those anti-abortion cases, both end up dying ... for a fetus is nothing without its mother's life cycle and it will be nothing but another child 'in the foster care orphanage system' if its mother dies, or even a motherless (and possibly fatherless) child even if there is other family who wants to raise it.

The end game: Realistic measures show that white people are on schedule to be a minority in the United States by the year 2050, so their pro-life pro-racist anti-woman agenda is leaning more toward saving white babies with rich parents than it is toward caring for unborn fetuses that come from colored and migrant peoples who will tend to be more dependent on government source and supply to raise children in a nation that is not family-friendly for anyone who is not rich or white - like Trump.

Interpreting Scripture is Not for Rightwing Christian Evangelicals

There can be any number of hundreds of thousands of nuances about the way scripture is interpreted, but one thing is certain above all else ... the Republican self-righteous Party does not speak for God. It only uses God and "the name of Jesus" as a prop for personal emotions that don't line up with Scripture.

The Bible itself says that God's word is "sharper than a two-edged sword" and will pierce a soul asunder down to its heart and sinews, defining the person for who they are rather than being some proof of whether or not God exists.

Anything else is people who want to interpret scripture, but don't know what they are talking about and really don't know who God is.

If they did know, it would occur to them that God was represented on Earth in the flesh of a dark-skinned Mediterranean Man from another country who wore a long gown (dress) and dusty slippers, was economically downtrodden, never set a physical foot in this country such that it is right now, never spoke a word of English or American and is not a legal immigrant by their own definition.

They would also see the blasphemy in a "Trump Bible" with Trump's signature that depicts Trump's utter disrespect for God AND for this country.

"Jesus take the wheel," indeed.

To hear them talk, He can't take the wheel. He doesn't have a U.S.-statehood American Driver's License. He can't even vote without that, let alone decide who we should vote for, especially since He is not an "American citizen" and never will be.

They are calling someone by the wrong name who can't help them make this country more racist and misogynist than it already is; because he's the ONE, by His Word, PUTTING IT ALL TO AN END.

The Ugliness and Ungodliness of Immigrant Hatred: The Quiet Part Said Out Loud

The other Columbus (GA) Trump supporters spoke of "immigrants moving here that they can't afford to pay for" and one spoke of "being a single parent who needed their money to buy their own stuff" -- and there was some indication that this single-parent person was on disability, she even said so.

Shamefully enough, the empirical and thorough lack of political and Christian education in her words came front and center.

She did not seem to know that she wouldn't have "stuff" to afford if it wasn't for the nation's immigrant population. Thousands of them do what slaves used to do, for a mere pittance, but also in exchange for untold exorbitant riches compared to what the slaves got.

She also was not informed that immigrants are taxed by the IRS to the tune of billions of dollars and labor that they put into the economy; and if they don't pay those income taxes to the IRS Taskmaster, they are subject to being deported.

In other words, these "illegals" are helping to pay for that disability check she is getting. All this is researchable, but you're on your own--as I have done my homework and seen it for myself.

They are also the main ones putting the produce and products in the stores that she says she can't afford. Yet, she doesn't look like she's missed a meal in her life or much of anything else that was within her personal budget.

Whatever immigrants get in "benefits" or subsidies to keep them alive and working and vital to the economy doesn't equal more than two-percent of what they pay into it. And they can't get the disability that she gets, for the most part. They are not legal US citizens and are not eligible for it. They pay in to what SHE gets, but can't file viable tax returns or claim benefits of earned income like social security. They don't have legal ID numbers.

She stated something that sounded like she can't afford something she isn't paying for anyway. Everyone is paying for it BUT her, if she's on disability. And THEY aren't having a problem with it.

This is a nation that screams about spending and the whole inglorious hocus pocus deficit but never bothers to tell anyone this country makes three to four times MORE than it spends. Money (FIAT) is "made up," and it doesn't really exist except in the digital or paper form you see that represents your tiny portion of trillions.

The only real debt America will be in depends on whether or not the rest of the world is about to turn their backs on the US-dollar.

If the "immigrants" stop liking our way of doing business, tariffs and all ... they are going to leave this country in an economic lurch that it will never overcome. The US-dollar will then be worth zero and even the richest among us will be dead broke.

The locals interviewed also seem not to understand that price-gouging and over-bloated billionaires is what is causing economic distress right now, not a "bad economy." It was Trump's economic policies that momentarily had us paying $8 for a dozen eggs and $25 for eight rolls of toilet paper because of hoarding during a virus that he unleased on the nation and never got under control on his watch.

If it wasn't for Biden-Harris 2020, we would still be cycling through COVID-19 now with no let-up. Harris-Walz have NO intention of letting that happen again.

With Trump, what will it be next? SARS, AVIAN FLU and EBOLA? And who will he blame for it next time?

Trump's Second, Third or Fourth Term of Office, depending on who is talking

What could possibly be his return game in 2025, if he were to have one?

As it stands right now, Trump could win and still not be sworn in because he is a career criminal and convicted felon and convicted rapist who incited an insurrection against the United States that he has not yet gone to trial over.

He cannot play Artful Dodger and dismiss himself; but of course, that will leave us stuck with Jed Vance, who is not much better by way of comparison.

No "man of God" himself in his attitudes, attributes, actions, words, or deeds, Vance has thrown in his deck of cards with someone who has done nothing but destroy everything he touches.

Of course he/Trump stacked judge's benches in order to get away with the crimes he has committed in his own name, but the Lord God that he/Trump himself blasphemed has the last say over how his steps are ordered.

And over what becomes of this nation.
