Savencia Cheese USA has issued a recall for its soft-ripened cheese because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The recalled products include Brie and Camembert cheeses sold at multiple retailers, including Aldi and Market Basket.
The Listeria organism was found at the Lena, Illinois, plant on the processing equipment, so only a select number of cheeses made at that plant are being recalled.
The Savencia Cheese recalled Brie and Camembert cheeses were distributed to select regional stores in the U.S. and retailers that sold the cheese are pulling it from shelves now.
You can identify the recalled cheese by looking at the UPC number and best-by date.
