Lieutenant Colonel Yolanda M. Edwards was born in Long Island, NY.
She completed undergraduate studies at Troy University and graduate studies at Webster University where she earned a Masters in Leadership and Management.
Lieutenant Colonel Edwards enlisted as a Corrections Specialist in 1993 and served in a variety of positions in the Military Police Corps culminating as Branch Chief until she received her Commission in 2003 through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia.
