Now Hiring - GA and AL: Schnitzer Steel

SCHNITZER STEEL is hiring throughout GA and AL for a variety of positions. 

GA locations: Atlanta, Albany, Macon, Gainesville, Columbus and Cartersville
AL locations: Birmingham, Dothan and Atalla

They offer a variety of shifts and some have shift differentials of $0.20-0.30/hour. All required PPE is provided by their sites. 

If someone does not have steel toed boots, they have a voucher from their shoe vendor for the employee to obtain new shoes. You also receive this annually to ensure your shoe integrity is compliant. 

Upon hire, they provide medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, short-term disability, 4% 401(k) match, maternity leave, paternity leave, tuition assistance, and they like to promote from within!

In terms of criminal history, they analyze the job description and the conviction history on a case-by-case basis. If the job you applied for doesn't work, they can place you somewhere else that will work out. They do accept those on the registry.
