Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders.
What does Mental Health First Aid Adult training cover?
This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
-Common signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance use.
-Depression, anxiety, and psychosis.
-How to interact with a person in crisis.
-How to connect the person with help.
-How to apply the 5-step action plan in a variety of situations.
-Updated content on trauma, addiction, and self-care.
Who Should Take it?
The Adult MHFA course is appropriate for anyone ( 18 years and older ) who wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health-related crisis or problem. Certificate is for Three Years.
