CDC Covid Data Tracker for Muscogee County

There probably isn't much room left for doubt that everyone is battle-worn from hope that the news about COVID-19 and its variations will ever go away.

Most folks are ready to just get back to 'normal' life before or BEYOND Covid-19, and unfortunately, with the record numbers of hospitalizations, combined with flu, pneumonia, colds, and COPD - another type of respiratory issue - it appears it's not going away any time soon - definitely not before this year is over.

Other variants, and there are several waiting in the shadows, are being tracked by medical authorities the world over, even as these variants are slowly making their way into communities across the nation and around the world.

We can all debate day and night about President Joseph Biden, Vice-President Kamala Harris, Governors, Mayors, their political differences, whether or not they care about their citizens, why they are or are NOT mandating mask-wearing and who should and should not be legally required to take a vaccine, but the only End Game on all of it is to do the best you can to protect yourself and those around you.

If you believe in prayer, now and every day may not be a bad time to handle that business with God.

It's hard to tell, between The WHO (World Health Organization), the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), and the many medical authorities in the state and nation, plus the 'armchair MD's' who referee the transmission rates from home, exactly what the future holds, but as of this moment, here is the
